The Prediction

Nick sat across the astrologer and asked her “When will I get laid?”

She looked at his birth chart and wrinkled her nose and said “How do I put this, not for another twenty years!”

Nick was flabbergasted. This was the only reason he had come to her and now this is what she had to say.

He asked her “Are you sure?”

She said “Yes. It is hard to hear this, but this is how it is. Sometimes we hear things we don’t want to believe. This must be hard for you.”

He laughed and said “That is a long time to go without sex. What am I going to do?”

She smiled and said, “You will discover many things about yourself and you will live life to the fullest. You have much Karma to pay off. But as time passes, you will not notice it after a while. It may be tough at first, but you will get used to it. You will do many things and learn that you are capable of more than you know of yourself.”

“What about money? Will I get any?” He asked.

“Yes you will. After twenty five years” she replied.

“Man, this is insane. My best years are going to be without money and sex. What a bummer” he said.

She looked at him and said “Some people get success early in life and some get it later. Yours will come later. You will discover your spiritual path which will more than make up for the other things not being there.”

He asked “When will my spiritual path come to me?”

“It will take five to eight years more for that” she said “You have a lot of experiences coming your way which will change you. It won’t be easy for you, but you will be grateful for everything. Trust God.”

He pondered over this and was trying to wrap his mind around this information.

It was the end of his session and he smiled and thanked her and said “I will be back soon.”

He had more questions and he knew he would be back. His life was standing on no legs. He had been amputated of the the most important things in his life. Oh God! What have you in store for me? Give me a sign please!

A lot of people are impotent, he thought as he walked down the stairs. A lot of people are penniless also. Spiritual realisation has evaded almost everybody. How bad could it be? Could life have more to offer or could I bring more to my life he thought.

He walked slowly and was lost in his thoughts when a man with no legs passed him on a wheelchair cycle and asked for some money. He absentmindedly gave him a tenner and continued walking.

He walked to his car and got in. Suddenly he realised passing that man and realised that here are people who don’t have anything and they make it work. Why can’t I? Of course I will. To live, is to live.

Maybe a life without temptation, indulgence, distraction would not be so bad, he thought. He was okay about it now.

“Time will tell” he thought, “maybe this is what surrender must be like.”

Little did he know the horror that his life would become before he saw a sunrise that made him smile. He visited her many times and saw her predictions come true one by one and he knew that there was no other way that his life could have been.

The accuracy of her predictions made him realise that there was nothing left to chance.
